Fluellen Garners All-Independent First-Team Honors

Freshman defensive back/return specialist O’Hara Fluellen (6-0, 190, Fort Lauderdale, FL), added yet another accolade to his end of the season awards, as he was also named to the D2football All-Independent First-Team for both defensive back and return specialist. The two awards join the other two Fluellen garnered at the end of the season, as he was named the Great Lakes Football Conference Defensive Back of the Year, as well to the Second-Team for Return Specialist.

Fluellen led the conference in interceptions (6), while also recording 34.5 tackles, 31 solo stops, three tackles for loss, six pass breakups and one forced fumble, while playing in every game this season. As a return specialist, the shifty return man ran 23 kickoffs back for 608 yards, with a long of 64.
