Women's Track and Field Remains in Top Spot in Latest USTFCCCA Rankings
USTFCCCA Rankings

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Tuesday afternoon the fifth weekly update of the NCAA Division II National Team Rankings for indoor track & field, with the Lincoln University women’s track and field team still holding the top spot, while the men are ranked No. 8.

National team ranking points are accumulated by using season-best marks, set by teams in the 2010 indoor season through last weekend as reported to the Track & Field Results Reporting System (TFRRS). This week's release of updated rankings for NCAA’s Division II mark the last national team rankings using all data from TFRRS. The release on March 9 will include only those declared and accepted into the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships to be held March 12-13, in Albuquerque, N.M.

Lincoln has several athletes ranked nationally in many events heading into the NCAA Championships.

On the men’s side, junior Kimour Bruce posted the best time in Division II in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.72 seconds set back on Feb. 12. In that same event, junior Gavin Terrelonge has the sixth-best time clocking in with a run of 6.79 seconds, also set back on Feb. 12.
