Women's Basketball To Open Season At Central State

WILBERFORCE, OH. – The Lincoln University women’s basketball team will open the season without an exhibition contest, jumping into regular season play this Sunday on the road at Central State.

Lincoln returns their top two scorers from a season ago in Ashley Norris and Paris Campbell. Norris led the team in scoring (15.9) and minutes (34.9) per game. In addition, Norris tallied 36 steals, 23 assists and averaged six rebounds for the Blue Tigers. Campbell wasn’t far behind Norris, as she was second on the team in scoring per game (10.0), and minutes (29.5), while adding 4.7 rebounds per game, 24 steals, 34 assists and 18 blocks. 

Central State will also open their season against Lincoln on Sunday, as the Marauders return two of their top players from a season ago in Linda Ubadigbo and Brooklyn Morrow.

The Blue Tigers will tangle with Central State this Sunday with tipoff set for 2 p.m. CST. Fans can follow the game live via Central State’s radio broadcast streamed on the internet, follow the link below and look for the listen now icon at the top of the page to listen live to the game.

A new addition to the Blue Tiger website will also be unveiled throughout the basketball season, including the men’s game this Saturday against Langston at 3 p.m. For the first time, Lincoln will now have live stats available for all home basketball games, along with select road games throughout the season. To access the live stats, look for the “Blue Tiger Live Stats” link on the top right side of the home page or off of any of the team home pages or simply follow the link below, then click on the desired basketball team to watch live.
